Configure a PDF output
Use a PDF when the result needs to be a fixed-format deliverable for sharing, archiving, compliance review, or external distribution.
Choose the output type
Open the Output step in the agent builder and choose the artifact the agent should produce every run.

When to use PDF
- The deliverable should look the same for every recipient.
- The result may be attached to an email, stored as evidence, or used in a formal review packet.
- Page structure, title, source list, and export polish matter.
Configure PDF

- Choose PDF in the output type menu.
- Define the document sections and ask for concise tables where reviewers need fast scanning.
- Tell the agent whether the PDF is internal, customer-facing, investor-facing, or audit-facing.
Instruction pattern
Add a short output instruction to the agent instructions or the relevant skill so the agent knows what good looks like.
Create a PDF-ready report with cover title, summary, findings, evidence table, risk assessment, recommendation, and source appendix.
Quality checklist
- The audience and use case are clear.
- The output format is selected before testing.
- The agent instructions describe the expected sections, fields, or scenes.
- Important claims include evidence or source links.
- The output can be reviewed without guessing what each field or section means.
- If another system consumes the result, the schema and allowed values are stable.
