Plans and quotas
Grep offers four ways to use the product: Free, Pay-As-You-Go, Pro, and Ultra. Choose the option that matches how often you run research and which features you need.

Free
Free includes 100 lifetime credits. It is best for trying Grep and running a small number of tasks before choosing a paid option.
Approximate usage:
- About 50 low-effort tasks.
- About 5 deep tasks.
- About 1 ultra-deep task.
Free credits do not reset monthly.
Pay-As-You-Go
Pay-As-You-Go uses a prepaid wallet instead of a monthly subscription.
- Minimum deposit: 20 USD.
- Low-effort starting reservation: 0.40 USD.
- Deep starting reservation: 4.00 USD.
- Ultra-deep starting reservation: 20.00 USD.
- Wallet balances expire 365 days after deposit.
- Premium data tools require at least 50 USD in wallet balance.
Pay-As-You-Go is a good fit if your usage is occasional, seasonal, or unpredictable.
Pro
Pro is designed for regular professional research.
- 200 USD/month, or 2,000 USD/year when billed annually.
- Annual billing is shown as approximately 167 USD/month.
- Includes 1,500 credits per month.
- Includes premium features such as exports, slides, audio, team sharing, API access, and premium data tools.
Approximate monthly usage:
- About 750 low-effort tasks.
- About 75 deep tasks.
- About 15 ultra-deep tasks.
Ultra
Ultra is designed for high-volume researchers and teams.
- 500 USD/month, or 5,000 USD/year when billed annually.
- Annual billing is shown as approximately 417 USD/month.
- Includes 4,500 credits per month.
- Includes the same premium feature set as Pro, with more monthly capacity and highest priority access.
Approximate monthly usage:
- About 2,250 low-effort tasks.
- About 225 deep tasks.
- About 45 ultra-deep tasks.
Annual billing
Annual billing gives a lower effective monthly price and is billed once per year.

Switching plans
You can manage your plan from Settings → Billing → Plans.
Common changes:
- Upgrade from Free to Pay-As-You-Go by adding wallet funds.
- Upgrade from Free or Pay-As-You-Go to Pro or Ultra for monthly credits and premium features.
- Move from Pro to Ultra if you need more monthly capacity.
- Cancel a subscription so it ends at the close of the current billing period.
Common questions
Do subscription credits roll over? No. Pro and Ultra credits reset each billing period.
Do Pay-As-You-Go funds roll over? Wallet balances remain available until they expire 365 days after deposit.
Which plan includes API access? API access is included with eligible subscription plans such as Pro and Ultra.
Can I use premium data tools on Pay-As-You-Go? Yes, if your wallet balance is at least 50 USD.
Which plan should I start with? Use Free to try Grep, Pay-As-You-Go for occasional use, Pro for regular research, and Ultra for high-volume or advanced workflows.
